Project Features

prominent design feature:
The prominent design feature of these buildings is the central walkway with its independent translucent awning structure. This maximizes the natural light and ventilation to the workshops and classrooms. The low profile windows, colour schemes and central walkway give the building a ‘sleek’ modern look. The floor consists of a new Metal Workshop,     Machine Room, Mechanical Yard, 3 Design Labs, Staff Work Area, Toilets and a brick paved external covered area with translucent roof sheeting.

construction features: The buildings are situated on a sloping site requiring sub floor level cavity filled brick retaining walls on one elevation and extensive above ground reconstituted limestone retaining on the other major elevation. The limestone retained areas providing a substantial good delivery access area. The buildings are constructed of traditional  Masonry method with sand & cement rendered finish and the roof is covered with Trimdek roof sheeting. Powder coated aluminum windows have been installed and glazed with Australian Standard Safety glass.
